claude-mem plugin
A persistent memory layer that captures what an agent did during a session, compresses that record with AI, and injects the relevant parts back into future sessions.
What it does for you: This is the exact problem on YY's own list under the second brain upgrade plan: Claude forgetting context between sessions and YY having to re explain the same decisions. Claude-mem sits beside the brain vaults and the Telegram bridge as a session level memory bridge, carrying forward what an agent did without YY re pasting it. It explicitly supports Hermes, so it would not require rebuilding on a new runtime.
In practice: Reads like a well engineered add on, not a toy. The docs separate the open Apache layer from a narrower commercial boundary clearly, which is reassuring for something that will sit close to YY's working memory.
For: Both runtimes. Its README lists Hermes by name alongside Claude Code, OpenClaw, Codex, Gemini, Copilot and OpenCode as supported runtimes, so it is not Claude only.
Verdict: test first. Direct Hermes support and an Apache 2.0 core make this worth a sandboxed trial against a copy of the brain, but a memory layer that silently drops or distorts context is worse than no memory layer, so it needs a side by side test against the existing vault workflow before any production reliance.
Install: in Claude Code run /plugin marketplace add thedotmack/claude-mem then /plugin install claude-mem, not currently in YY's enabledPlugins list per a read only check of ~/.claude/settings.json on 2026-10-13. Review before enabling.
Source · Latest release v13.34.2 on GitHub, Apache 2.0 license confirmed on the repo page, lists 7 supported runtimes including Hermes by name.
